A precisely measured strip of OnyFix composite resin is then applied across the width of the nail - typically just one strip per nail. The resin is cured with a UV/LED light in seconds. As it sets, it creates a tensioning arc across the nail that begins the corrective process immediately. The strip is thin and low-profile; most patients report they can barely feel it. Depending on the severity of the nail deformity, one to three applications may be needed at 4-8 week intervals to achieve full correction. In milder cases, a single application is sufficient.
